Amartya Chatterjee is the Conference & Catering Manager at University of Manitoba. He used to work with Aramark as Catering Manager at the University of Alberta. Amartya has completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management from Queen Margaret University, UK and PG in Hotel, Resort & Restaurant Management from Centennial College, Toronto, Canada.
Ryan has spent the last 24 years perfecting his culinary and management skills through a multitude of industry sectors across central and western Canada. His love of food (particularly eastern world cuisine) and people has kept him motivated to continually develop new skills and food concepts in an ever changing industry. A loving wife and two wonderful girls keep him busy when he isn’t in the kitchen..
Emily Simpson has 17 years of experience in the food service industry. For the past 8 years, she has worked at the Bannatyne Campus (in both catering and retail operations) and two years ago joined us as part of the catering team at the Fort Garry campus.
Sous Chef Tyrell Case has been with the University of Manitoba for nine years and has worked in the culinary industry for 14 years. Tyrell works closely with the catering team to develop standard and customized menus for our catering customers.
Sharon Gan comes from a varied hospitality background from coffee shop, bakery, restaurant to bartending. She has been working at the Conference and Catering department since 2008 and she was promoted to Banquet Manager Position in 2014.
Michelle Hnyduik is the Conference & Catering Office Coordinator. She has been in this position for the past 2 years. Michelle assists both clients and staff with various tasks inquiries.
